Tyrone Crystal Rugby Awards
Last Wednesday, 23rd April, Tyrone Crystal trophies were presented at the 6th annual IRUPA Rugby Players’ Awards in UDC, Dublin.
Once again, Tyrone Crystal manufactured the full sized rugby ball shaped trophies and sponsored the ‘IRUPA Tyrone Crystal Try of the Year’ which was awarded to Rob Kearney, Leinster and Ireland player and accepted on his behalf by his team mate Brian O'Driscoll from Tyrone Crystal Sales Manager Claire Bradley
The awards were held to celebrate a year of individual achievements in Irish rugby in what was another successful season which saw Ireland win the Triple Crown for the third time n four years.
Niall Woods, CEO of IRUPA said “Tyrone Crystal have produced these wonderful trophies for 6 years now and the players really appreciate the quality of the pieces because they’re made individually and are the shape of a rugby ball. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Tyrone Crystal for the support they have given us over the years, it is much appreciated”
The awards were made in the presence of 10 representatives from Tyrone Crystal and some of the game’s most well-known names including Ireland & Lions Captain Brian O’Driscoll, David Humphreys, Munster Ireland and Lions legends Mick Galwey,Ireland and Lions great Fergus Slattery and MC for the night was Des Cahill.
